Galip Gürel, DDS, MSc, is the founder and honorary president of the Turkish Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry, a past president of the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, and a visiting professor at the New York University, Marseille Dental University, and Istanbul Yeditepe University. He received the 2014 Smigel Prize, which is granted biennially by New York University College of Dentistry to honor the best esthetic dentists in the world. Dr Gürel is the author of The Science and Art of Porcelain Laminate Veneers (Quintessence Publishing, 2003), which has been translated into 12 different languages. He is the editor-in-chief of Quintessence Magazine in Turkey and serves on the editorial boards for several journals.

Chad Gwaltney, Ph.D. is President and Principal Consultant at Gwaltney Consulting. Dr. Gwaltney develops innovative methods to measure patient-centered outcomes in clinical trials. His academic and industry research includes the design of electronic platforms for the collection of information in real-time in the patient’s natural environment. He has published numerous articles and book chapters addressing how the patient’s perspective can be examined to better understand medical product efficacy and safety. He has served on US National Institutes of Health review committees and has co-authored ISPOR best practice guidelines on the development and use of patient-reported outcomes. Prior to founding Gwaltney Consulting, Dr. Gwaltney was Chief Scientist and Regulatory Advisor, Endpoints, at ERT. Dr. Gwaltney has also served as Head, Patient Experience, Hematology/Oncology, at Celgene and as a research faculty member in the Brown University School of Public Health.
Dr. Effie Habsha received her Bachelor of Science degree and earned her DDS degree from the University of Toronto. Upon graduation, she completed a one year General Practice Residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto, ON. Dr. Habsha received her Diploma in Prosthodontics and Master of Science degree, both from the University of Toronto. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (RCDC) and is an examiner and Section Head for the Oral Examination in Prosthodontics for the RCDC. Dr. Habsha is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Department of Dentistry, Eastman Institute for Oral Health at the University of Rochester Medical Center. She has served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto and currently instructs both at the undergraduate and graduate level in Prosthodontics at U of T. Dr. Habsha is a Professor at George Brown College of Applied Arts and Technology and is the On-staff Prosthodontist at MedCan clinic in Toronto. She holds an appointment as Staff Prosthodontist at Mount Sinai Hospital where she instructs the dental residents and is involved in various clinical research projects. Dr. Habsha is an Associate Fellow of the Academy of Prosthodontics and Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontics and a Fellow of The Pierre Fauchard Academy and holds memberships in numerous Prosthodontic organizations and societies. She lectures both nationally and internationally on various Prosthodontic topics and maintains a private practice limited to Prosthodontics and Implant Dentistry in Toronto.
Adam Hamilton BDSc, DCD, FRACDS is the Discipline lead in Prosthodontics at the University of Western Australia. He is the former director of the Division of Regenerative Sciences and Implant Dentistry at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine where he is still a lecturer for the advanced graduate implant dentistry program. Adam completed his general dental education at the University of Western Australia and has a Doctorate in Clinical Dentistry in the specialty of Prosthodontics from the University of Melbourne, Australia. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons and the International Team for Implantology (ITI). He was the recipient of an ITI scholarship through which he completed a Fellowship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at University of Florida’s Centre for Implant Dentistry. His research focuses are on implant placement and loading protocols, the impact of digital technology in prosthodontics and implant dentistry, as well as digital workflows for implant rehabilitation of the edentulous patient. He maintains a clinical practice focusing on prosthodontic and surgical implant treatment.
Christoph H. F. Hämmerle, Prof Dr med dent, is the department chairman of the Clinic of Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics in Dental Materials Science and the Division of Implant Dentistry at the University of Zurich in Switzerland. He currently serves or has served as a board member of several scientific organizations, notably the European Association for Osseointegration, Osteology Foundation, Swiss Society for Reconstructive Dentistry, Continental European Division of the International Association for Dental Research, International Team for Implantology Switzerland, and Dental Campus Association. Dr Hämmerle has published more than 300 scientific articles and has lectured internationally.
Dr. Arndt Happe graduated from dental school in 1994, having studied at Westfälische Wilhelms University, Münster. Following post-graduate studies with Professor Fouad Khoury and successful specialization in oral surgery, he obtained his doctoral degree in 1996. At that time he had already been active as a speaker and co-author of national and international publications in the field of oral implantology. Since 1999, Dr. Happe has worked as an oral surgeon in private practice in Münster, with a professional focus on both oral implantology (since 2000) and periodontology (since 2004). He taught in various postgraduate programs offered by the German Association of Oral Implantology (DGI), the European Association of Dental Implantologists (BDIZ EDI), the German Association of Esthetic Dentistry (DGÄZ) and the German Society for Periodontology (DGP), as well as in the “Periodontology and Implant Therapy” master program of the DGP in cooperation with Dresden International University. In addition, Dr. Happe is an external research assistant at the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Plastic Surgery, Oral Surgery and Implantology at the University of Cologne (Director: Professor Joachim E. Zöller). He is an affiliate of the prestigious European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (EAED).
Louis Hardan, DDS, PhD, is a professor and the director of the master program in the Restorative and Esthetic Department at Saint Joseph University in Beirut, Lebanon. He received his dental degree in 1989 and continued his postdoctoral education at Saint Joseph University, where he obtained a certificate for basic science in 1993, completed his specialization in restorative and esthetic dentistry in 1995, and completed his PhD in oral biology and materials in 2009. Dr Hardan maintains a private practice in his hometown of Byblos, Lebanon, and he is the scientific director and an honorary and active international member of StyleItaliano. He is also the country chairperson for Lebanon of the European Society of Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr Hardan is the inventor of Smile Lite MDP (Smile Line), a device used to take high-quality dental photographs with a mobile phone, for which he won the Best of Class Technology Award in 2017, as well as Posterior Misura (LM instrument), an instrument for shaping direct posterior composites. He has many publications to his name in international journals and has given several international lectures and courses on esthetics, restorative dentistry, and mobile dental photography.
Dr. Haubrich studied dentistry at the University of Freiburg (Albert Ludwigs Universität), graduating in 2001. After working as a general dentist, she began her postgraduate studies in orthodontics in the private practice of Dr. Werner Schupp from 2003 to 2005, continuing her studies at the University of Berlin (Charité Universität) under the direction of Prof. Dr. RR Miethke. Since becoming a certified specialist of orthodontics in 2007, she has been collaborating with Dr. Werner Schupp and Dr. Julia Funke in a private practice in Cologne, Germany. She is co-author of the book Funktionslehre in der Kieferorthopädie (2012), and has published several articles concerning orthodontic aligner therapy in children, function, and pain therapy published in national and international journals. She is associate editor of the Journal of Aligner Orthodontics (JAO) and lecturer for the University of Vienna, Austria. Dr. Haubrich has been a clinical speaker for Align Technology since 2005, and is a board member and Conference President of the German Society of Aligner Orthodontics (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Aligner Orthodontie, DGAO).
