Introduction: Chronic inflammatory gingival enlargement is an enlargement of the gingiva as a result of chronic inflammation due to local or systemic factors. The most common local factors appear to be dental plaque and calculus. It has the potential to cause aesthetic, functional, and masticatory disturbances. Phase 1 therapy followed by a surgical procedure is performed to treat these cases. Methodology : A 32-year-old female patient reported with chronic gingival enlargement on the labial side of the anterior region of both arches. Surgery was performed in both the arches on the regions concerned after completion of phase 1 therapy. Result: Knife edge margins along with normal shape and size were achieved after surgical therapy. Conclusion: This report highlights the success of a surgical procedure and the importance of oral hygiene maintenance in gingival enlargement cases. There should be long term follow up to evaluate the tissue response and patient motivation in such cases. AID - 3023211
