Mario Imburgia, DDS, PhD, graduated with honors in dentistry at the University of Palermo, Italy, and completed his doctorate in periodontology in 2004. He is a member of the Italian Academy of Prosthetic Dentistry and a fellow of the International Academy for Dento-Facial Esthetics. Dr Imburgia is Assistant Clinical Teacher at the University of Warwick in Conventry, England, as well as Visiting Professor at the City of London Dental School. He is a speaker at national and international conferences and focuses on topics related to implant, prosthetic, and esthetic dentistry. Dr Imburgia maintains a private practice in Palermo.
After graduating in Dental Technology, Stefano Inglese has always shown interest in the exact aesthetic-functional reproduction of dental restorations. Thanks to countless courses and work experiences abroad with the best masters, technicians and clinicians, he has perfected his technique and his precision in aesthetics, function and biological integration. He is the owner of a dental laboratory in Pescina (Aq). He is an Oral Design member and an active member of the IAED. Stefano Inglese writes for national and international magazines in the sector, such as Quint. of Dental Technology as well as for Quint. Zahntechnik. He is co-author with Dr. Sclar in the book “Interdisciplinary Treatment Planning II”. He is an international speaker and collaborates with various clinicians from all over the world. He is the author of the book "Aesthetic Dental Strategies" available in Italian, English, Chinese and Russian.
Alexis Ioannidis is a Senior Teaching and Research Assistant at the Clinic of Reconstructive Dentistry, University of Zurich, Switzerland. He graduated 2009 at the University of Zurich and received the title „Dr. med. dent.“ at the same University (2013). After completion of a 3-year post-graduate training at the Clinic of Reconstructive Dentistry at the University of Zurich in 2016, he received a stipend founded by the Clinical Research Foundation to spend 6 months as a research fellow at the Department of Biomaterials at the University of Athens, Greece. Since 2017 he serves as a full-time Senior Teaching and Research Assistant at the Clinic of Reconstructive Dentistry at the University of Zurich. His clinical focus is on the comprehensive treatment of complex, fully dentated or partially edentulous patients applying all available options of prosthetic dentistry including dental implants. He is a specialist for reconstructive dentistry (Swiss Society for Reconstructive Dentistry), an EPA Recognized Specialist in Prosthetic Dentistry (European Prosthodontic Association), has a Master of Advanced Studies in Periodontology and a Master of Advanced Studies in Oral Implantology (University of Zurich). His main scientific interest is related to minimally invasive prosthetic treatment concepts. He has published > 25 scientific and clinical articles, mostly in high-ranked peer-reviewed journals.
Professor Saso Ivanovski established Brisbane City Periodontics and Implants (BCPI) with Dr Ken Nixon (now retired) in 2006. He works at BCPI on a part time basis, and combines this with his position as Professor of Periodontology at the University of Queensland, where he is program director for the specialist training program in Periodontics. He is also the Director of the Centre for Oral Regeneration, Reconstruction and Rehabilitation (COR3).
Saso graduated with BDSc (Honors) from the University of Queensland School of Dentsitry in 1993. He subsequently completed a BDentSt research degree in 1995, following which he was awarded a National Health and Medical Research (NH&MRC) postgraduate scholarship and commenced a PhD which was completed in 2000. This was followed by specialist training leading to the award of an MDSc in Periodontology in 2002. During his studies, Saso worked in private practice, initially as a dentist (1994-2002), and subsequently as a specialist periodontist.
Saso was a NH&MRC postdoctoral fellow and a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland from 2003 to 2006. During this period, he was awarded a fellowship by the International Team for Implantology (ITI) and spent a year as a clinical research fellow at the Eastman Dental Institute in London. Upon his return from London in late 2004, Saso joined Dr Ken Nixon’s practice and Brisbane City Periodontics and Implants was formally established in 2006.
In 2006, Saso was appointed the inaugural Chair and Professor of Periodontology at the Griffith University School of Dentistry and Oral Health where he leads the specialist training program in periodontology. He served as Deputy Head of School Research and led the Regenerative Medicine Centre at the Griffith Health Institute, before moving back to the University of Queensland in 2017
Saso is a fellow of the International Team for Implantology, International College of Dentists and the Academy of Dentistry International, and has served as federal president of the Australasian Osseointegration Society (AOS) and the Australian Society of Periodontology (ASP). He is currently a boraf member of the Australian Dental Research Foundation (ADRF) and chair of the ADRF Research Advisory Committee. Saso has published over 200 papers and book chapters in the peer-reviewed international literature, has lectured extensively nationally and internationally and has been the recipient of numerous research grants and awards. He leads an internationally recognized research group with an interest in clinical implantology and periodontology, as well as the cellular and molecular aspects of osseointegration and periodontal regeneration.
Cooking has been her greatest passion ever since Marlena Izdebska can remember. As a teenager she attended a gastronomy school and was able to continuously develop her knowledge about nutrition. As a conscious mother, she has set herself the goal of inspiring her readers with healthy and delicious recipes with this book.
