Gabriele Hopfensperger (ehem. Oppenberg) ist eine erfolgreiche Fachautorin und Dozentin (u. a. als Hauptdozentin des 5-Tage-Fachkurses "Praxismanager/in"). Darüber hinaus berät und schult sie seit über 15 Jahren Zahnarztpraxen in moderner Praxisführung. Seit 2012 unterstützt die Autorin als Praxismanagerin eine Gemeinschaftspraxis in Bayern.
Dr. med. Marco Hördt, Facharzt für Innere Medizin, Ernährungsmedizin und Naturheilverfahren, unterhält eine Privatpraxis in Bielefeld und hat mehr als 25 Jahre Berufserfahrung in der Anwendung der Mesotherapie als Symbiose aus Schulmedizin und Naturheilkunde. Er steuert als Co-Autor das Bildmaterial mit hochwertigen und anschaulichen Injektionsschemata bei.
Marie Thérèse Hosey is Head of Paediatric Dentistry at King's College London and Honorary Consultant at King's College London and Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital, London. She qualified from the University of Glasgow in 1985 and subsequently completed her MSc (1991) and DDS (1997) postgraduate degrees there. She read Paediatric Dentistry at the University of Glasgow before joining King's College London in 2008. Her research interests are the pharmacological and behavioural management of anxious children, especially those who require general anaesthesia, as well as children with clefts. She has received research funding, mainly for clinical trials, from the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) and the Scottish Chief Scientist Office.
Kevin D. Huff, DDS, is a practicing general dentist and orofacial pain specialist. He earned his dental degree from The Ohio State University where he also pursued advanced training in removable prosthodontics. Dr Huff is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orofacial Pain and has earned the status of Fellow and Master in the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD). He has served on the faculty at Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine, Mercy Hospital General Practice Residency, and Spear Education, where he is currently a visiting faculty member. Dr Huff has published many articles, is a Fellow of the American College of Dentists and the International College of Dentists, and has been awarded the Lifetime Learning and Service Recognition Award from the AGD. Dr Huff is also an active member of the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Orofacial Pain, and he has been practicing dentistry in rural Ohio for 25 years.
The coverage of recessions around teeth is a very successful surgical treatment. The published evidence suggests that periodontal plastic surgeons can very predictably perform these procedures. However, how does reality present? What are the measurement methods and indexes used to support the external evidence? During this lecture, we will look very critically at the evidence we used to support our enthusiasm about the coverage of recession procedures. Second, we will try to answer the raised question in the title of this lecture. Third, the entire thought process will be supported by clinical cases.
Mario Imburgia, DDS, PhD, graduated with honors in dentistry at the University of Palermo, Italy, and completed his doctorate in periodontology in 2004. He is a member of the Italian Academy of Prosthetic Dentistry and a fellow of the International Academy for Dento-Facial Esthetics. Dr Imburgia is Assistant Clinical Teacher at the University of Warwick in Conventry, England, as well as Visiting Professor at the City of London Dental School. He is a speaker at national and international conferences and focuses on topics related to implant, prosthetic, and esthetic dentistry. Dr Imburgia maintains a private practice in Palermo.
