Liebe Freunde und Gäste der NEUEN GRUPPE,
ZahnMedizin lautet der Titel der Jahrestagung 2021 der NEUEN GRUPPE. Hand und Verstand – beides ist für unsere Tätigkeit als Zahnärzte/Zahnärztinnen zwingend erforderlich. Wir benötigen außerordentliche Fähigkeiten zur Ausübung unserer zahnärztlichen Tätigkeit und diese müssen auf einem substantiierten ärztlichen und zahnärztlichen Wissensfundament gegründet sein. Nur so können wir unsere Patienten so gut wie möglich zahnmedizinisch versorgen und lebenslang betreuen. Dieses Jahr steht der intradisziplinäre Blick auf die Zahnmedizin mit ihrer immer stärker werdenden Untergliederung in fachzahnärztliche Spezialisierungen im Fokus des Interesses.
Für die Generalisten innerhalb unseres zahnärztlichen Berufsstandes wird es zunehmend aufwändiger und mühsamer, mit der sich ständig beschleunigenden Wissensvermehrung in den einzelnen Fachrichtungen Schritt zu halten. Trotz allem ist es zwingend erforderlich, auf dem aktuellen Stand zu bleiben, um die fachliche Qualifikation und manuelle Qualität unserer zahnärztlichen Tätigkeit garantieren zu können.
Im Namen der NEUEN GRUPPE darf ich Sie einladen, im Rahmen unserer Jahrestagung einen Rundumblick auf die unterschiedlichsten Spezifikationen und Spezialisierungen der ZahnMedizin vorzunehmen. Herausragende Persönlichkeiten der Zahnmedizin werden als ausgewiesene Spezialisten aktuelle Trends und Entwicklungen aus Diagnostik und Therapie Ihrer Fachgebiete (z.B. MKG-Chirurgie, Prothetik, Konservierende Zahnheilkunde, Parodontologie, Implantologie, Endodontie u.a.) vorstellen und mit uns diskutieren.
Dieser interaktiven Diskussion jedes einzelnen Referats wird ein adäquater Zeitrahmen geboten werden.

Prof. Dr. Frank Lobbezoo, MSc, PhD, specialist in functional diagnostics and therapy of orofacial pain, Head of the Department of Orofacial Pain and Dysfunction, Academic Center for Dental Medicine Amsterdam (ACTA), Amsterdam/Netherlands
Markus Schlee is an accomplished periodontist and implantologist based in Forchheim, Germany since 1990. With specialist qualifications and active involvement in various professional associations, he is a recognized expert in the fields of periodontology, implantology, esthetics and implant health. Markus Schlee also holds an external professorship at Goethe University and delivers lectures at prestigious institutions such as Goethe University (MOI), Steinbeis University (DGI), Dresden International University (DGP), and University of Greifswald (DGÄZ).
Jürg Stuck was born in Burgdorf, Switzerland in 1949.He completed his training as a dental technician in Switzerland in 1969. This was followed by further training all over the world in all areas of dental technology and its associated fields. In 1982 he graduated from the master school in Düsseldorf and has been working in his own laboratory in Germany ever since. Jürg Stuck is known in professional circles through his more than 40 years of international lecturing, seminar and author activities. Always with a focus on the fabrication of dental restorations and the preparatory measures–including the technical dental analysis of the individual patient situation–he developed a stringent working method which he still follows to this day and which he imparts in seminars. In 2003 he received the Heinz Rohde Award from the Düsseldorf Guild and a few years later in 2014 another award "Honor to whom honor is due" from the Congress "A Heart for Dental Technology". And last but not least, he was awarded the Innovation Prize of the DGÄZ in 2018.
Dr. Peter Wetselaar, MSc, PhD, dentist and specialist in functional diagnostics and therapy of CMD and tooth wear, Chair in the Department and Clinic of General Dentistry, Academic Center for Dental Medicine Amsterdam (ACTA), Amsterdam/Netherlands
Miranda Wetselaar graduated as a dentist in 1988 at the School of Dentistry of the University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Since then, she is running a General Private Practice in Heemstede (the Netherlands), together with her husband and colleague Peter Wetselaar. Between 2008 and 2011 she followed the postgraduate programme in Orofacial Pain at the Radboud University Nijmegen, under supervision of dr. Michel Steenks and dr. Anton de Wijer. Since 2007, the General Practice in Heemstede is a referral practice as well for Temporomandibular Disorders and Orofacial Pain, Dental Sleep Medicine (e.g., Sleep Bruxism and Sleep Apnea) and Tooth Wear. Between 2014 and 2017 she worked in the Centre for Special Dental Care in the Kennemer Gasthuis (KG) Hospital in Haarlem, the Netherlands. Since 2011 she works in the Centre for Special Dental Care of the Medical School of the University of Leiden (LUMC), the Netherlands. She is a member of the Neue Gruppe since 1995, Fellow of the International College of Dentists (ICD) since 2005, and member of the European Academy of Orofacial Pain and Dysfunction (EAOPD, formerly EACD) since 2011. She is a member and officially recognized as a dentist specialized in Orofacial Pain and Dysfunction by the Dutch Society for Gnathology and Prosthetic Dentistry (Nederlandse Vereniging voor Gnathologie en Prothetische Tandheelkunde, NVGPT) since 2011, and a member and officially recognized by the Dutch Society for Dental Sleep Medicine (Nederlandse Vereniging voor Tandheelkundige Slaapgeneeskunde, NVTS) since 2014. Currently she is a committee member of the NVTS and member of the Medical Advisory Board of the Dutch Patients Association of Sleep Apnea. She gives lectures about Temporomandibular Disorders and Orofacial Pain, and Dental Sleep Medicine in the Netherlands and abroad.
Otto Zuhr studied dentistry at the University of Aachen from 1986 to 1992. He is board-certified specialist in Periodontology of the German Society of Periodontology (DGParo) and runs a private office together with Marc Hürzeler in Munich, Germany dedicated to periodontology and implant dentistry. With more than 25 years of clinical experience and teaching practice, Dr. Zuhr has become a proven expert in his field well beyond the European borders. From 2007 to 2014 he was board member of the German Society of Periodontology (DGParo) and he`s presently holding an associate professorship position at the Department of Periodontology of the Johann-Wolfgang-Goethe University in Frankfurt/Main, Germany (Director: Prof. Peter Eickholz). Otto Zuhr has written several refereed scientific articles in the field of periodontology and implant dentistry. His book "Plastic Esthetic Periodontal and Implant Surgery" was published by Quintessence Publishing in 2012. His research activities are focused on oral soft tissue wound healing and oral soft tissue reconstruction.
