Stress, deadline pressure, in a hurry–we all run against time. So it is high time to stand still and ask what we are actually running against: But what exactly is time? Above all, time is one thing: precious.

And precious for our patients and us. Treatment methods that save time are therefore very attractive for everyone involved. For this purpose, treatment methods must be compared and the risk of a faster approach must always be considered. If the risk is low or if the success rates are the same, especially from an esthetic point of view, then there is nothing to suggest a time-consuming treatment. Because time is precious. For this purpose, the planning for the treatment in the team must be carried out precisely in order to keep the risk as low as possible. Then in many cases immediate restoration can be the best solution for our patients.

Contemporary immediate implant restoration concepts of single teeth, multiple teeth and the entire jaw is the subject of this lecture. A key aspect is placed on digitalization and it will be shown what the new technologies can save us in terms of time.
