Michael Bornstein has been appointed in 2016 as Clinical Professor in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology at the Faculty of Dentistry, The University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong SAR, China. He is also Visiting Professor at the OMFS-IMPATH Research Group, Department of Imaging and Pathology, University of Leuven, Belgium. He obtained his dental degree (1998) and thesis (Dr. med. dent., 2001) at the University of Basel. He continued with a specialisation in oral surgery and stomatology in Basel (1998–1999, Prof. Dr. Dr. J. Th. Lambrecht) and Bern (2000–2002, Prof. Dr. D. Buser). In 2004, he was visiting assistant professor at the Department of Periodontics (Prof. Dr. D. Cochran) at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, USA, with a grant from the Swiss National Science Foundation. From 2007–2014 he was head of the Section of Dental Radiology and Stomatology, University of Bern. In 2009, he obtained the Habilitation (Privatdozent / PhD) and in 2014 he became Asscociate Professor in the field of "Oral Surgery and Stomatology". His fields of research include cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) in clinical dental practice, stomatology/oral medicine, GBR procedures with bioresorbable membranes and dental implants. He has published over 100 original articles, and is the author / co-author of numerous case reports, review articles, and book chapters.

Prof. Dr. med. Ferdinand M. Gerlach, MPH ist Direktor des Instituts für Allgemeinmedizin der Goethe-Universität in Frankfurt am Main und war bis Januar 2023 Vorsitzender des Sachverständigenrats zur Begutachtung der Entwicklung im Gesundheitswesen und in der Pflege. Der unabhängige Sachverständigenrat berät Bundestag und Bundesrat sowie die Bundesregierung. Die sieben „Gesundheitsweisen“ haben sich in ihren Gutachten u.a. ausführlich mit der digitalen Transformation im Gesundheitswesen beschäftigt sowie umfangreiche Maßnahmen empfohlen.
Neben verschiedensten Funktionen in nationalen und internationalen Gremien sowie Organisationen war er von 2010 bis 2016 Präsident der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Allgemeinmedizin und Familienmedizin (DEGAM).
Seine langjährigen Arbeitsschwerpunkte sind Qualitätsförderung und evidenzbasierte Medizin in der Praxis, Praxisepidemiologie, digitale Transformation des Gesundheitswesens, Fehlerprävention und Patientensicherheit, Versorgung chronisch Kranker sowie Versorgungsforschung. Seine Arbeit wurde mit zahlreichen wissenschaftlichen Preisen ausgezeichnet.

Prof. Dr. Hirsch hat einen Doktor in Neurowissenschaften und ein Diplom in Physiologie. Nach der Veröffentlichung seiner Arbeiten zu Neuronenmodellen im Fachjournal Nature wurde aus dem Forscher ein Unternehmer – ein Wechsel von der Theorie zur Innovation. Sein erstes Projekt war ein Neuronenmodellprogramm. Martin entwickelte die erste Version von Ada für Ärzte und prägt noch heute die Art, wie Ada lernt. Sein Großvater ist der Nobelpreisträger Werner Heisenberg.

Zum 1. Januar 2020 wurde Prof. Dr. Martin Christian Hirsch einer der international führenden Experten im Bereich der Künstlichen Intelligenz auf die neu eingerichtete Professur „Künstliche Intelligenz in der Medizin“ am Fachbereich Medizin der Philipps-Universität Marburg sowie des Universitätsklinikums Marburg berufen.

Multiple lecturing activities on the topics of periodontology, prophylaxis, esthetic dentistry and implantology and implant prosthetics and complex treatment planning. Lecturer of the master course " Master Online Periodontology" of the University of Freiburg. Chairman of the Intensive Continuing Education and Continuum Department of the BZKR. Member of the Representative Assembly of the BZK Rheinhessen. Deputy Chairman of the Representative Assembly of the BZK Rheinhessen. Member of the editorial board of "Der junge Zahnarzt" (Springer Verlag).

Dr. Schupp graduated in dentistry in 1985 from the University of Münster and continued his studies here as a postgraduate student of orthodontics under the direction of Prof. Dr. U Ehmer. Collaboration in the orthodontic private practice of Dr. DE Toll followed and since 1990, he has been in private practice as an orthodontics specialist in Cologne, Germany. In his office, over 6000 patients have been treated with aligner orthodontics. He is certified in Manual Medicine and Osteopathy for Orthodontics. Dr. Schupp is a founding member and past president of the German Board of Orthodontics and Orofacial Orthopedics, and a board member of the German Society of Aligner Orthodontics (DGAO). He is also founder and editor-in-chief of the Journal of Aligner Orthodontics (JAO) and an advisory board member for the periodical Manuelle Medizin. He has published various articles concerning orthodontics, function, and pain therapy. He has written the books Funktionslehre in der Kieferorthopädie and Kraniomandibuläres und Muskuloskelletales System, as well as the first edition of Aligner Orthodontics, published in 2016 (Quintessence Publishing) and translated in several languages. Dr. Schupp is also visiting professor at the Capital University, Beijing, China.

Frank Schwarz is Professor and Chairman of the Department of Oral Surgery and Implantology at the Centre for Dentistry and Oral Medicine (Carolinum), Johann Wolfgang Goethe-University Frankfurt, Germany. He serves as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Clinical Periodontology and Editorial Board Member for Periodontology 2000, Clinical Oral Implants Research and Clinical Implant Dentistry and Related Research. He is a Member of the Board of Directors of the European Association for Osseointegration – EAO, Executive Board Member of the Osteology Foundation, and Past President of the German Association of Oral Implantology (DGI). He was awarded the André Schröder Research Prize in 2007, the Miller Research Prize in 2012 and the Jan Lindhe Award in 2017.

Bernd Stadlinger studied medicine and dentistry at the universities of Erlangen, Vienna, and Dresden from 1996 to 2006. He trained as a specialist in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University Hospital Dresden and habilitated in 2011 with the topic “Functional biomaterials to influence maxillofacial bone healing.” In July 2011, he became senior physician in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery – Clinic for Oral Surgery at the University of Zurich. After his rehabilitation at the University of Zurich, he became a specialist in oral surgery in 2013, and has been Head Physician and Head of Dento-Maxillofacial Radiology since December 2015. Bernd Stadlinger is a board member of the Swiss Society for Oral Surgery and Stomatology (SSOS) and the Swiss Association for Maxillofacial Surgery and Oral Diseases (SAKM). The focus of his scientific work is the interaction between biomaterials and bone, in particular the coating of implants with different organic components to accelerate peri-implant bone healing. His other area of interest is imaging techniques and the implementation of digital treatment methods. In the field of teaching, he is the author of various computer-animated science films and is actively involved in the integration of modern media into university teaching, for which he has received numerous science and teaching awards.
