Das Buch ist ein Therapie-Handbuch für alle, die zusätzlich zu den bewährten Punktsystemen der Ohrakupunktur auch Kenntnisse über neu hinzugekommene Mikrosysteme gewinnen möchten.

Es gliedert sich in zwei Teile: die Darstellung der Akupunktur-Mikrosysteme sowie die Praxis in der Therapie geeigneter Indikationen. Ein Anliegen des Autors ist es, eine kritische und offene Auseinandersetzung im Hinblick auf das Verhältnis von Schulmedizin zur Traditionellen Chinesischen Medizin (TCM) anzuregen. Er stellt die einzelnen Mikrosysteme der Akupunktur nebeneinander und setzt diese in Beziehung zueinander.
