Dr. Marcus Abboud graduated from the University of Bonn (Germany) in 1996 and started his Prosthodontic residency there in 1997. In 2000 he received his Doctorate in Prosthodontics. From 2001 – 2003 he worked in the Department of Dental Research (Material Science) at the University before joining the Oral Surgery Certificate Program in 2003. He successfully completed the program in 2007. Furthermore, he received his Expert Certification in CBCT Technology and Diagnostics in 2010 from the Dental Medical Association Nordrhein.
Dr. Abboud has authored many publications, including research articles and book chapters. He has lectured extensively on CAD/CAM technology, digital dentistry, implantology, bone grafting, guided surgery and CBCT/CT diagnostic imaging. He has given many training courses on new technologies for implant treatment and has been involved in research for over 14 years. He has acted as a consultant for different manufacturers regarding new digital technologies and implantology. He holds many patents, being used in various countries, which provide new digital solutions for dentistry.
Dr. Abboud joined the Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine (NY, USA) in 2011 as the Founding Chair of the Department of Prosthodontics and Digital Technology. The department includes the Division of Diagnostic Imaging. Dr. Abboud is also the Director of Continuing Education at the School of Dental Medicine.
Imad About is Head of the Research Laboratory at the Faculty of Dentistry, Aix-Marseille University, France. Professor About gained his PhD in biochemistry from Aix-Marseille University in 1992 and subsequently joined the university as an assistant professor, later becoming Professor of Oral Biology in 2002. He was president of the Pulp Biology and Regeneration Group of the International Association of Dental Research and is currently President-elect of the Continental European Division. He is Associate Editor of Clinical Oral Investigations and guest editor of a special issue in Stem Cells International and in Journal of Endodontics. Professor About’s research group is involved in investigating the role of progenitor and non-progenitor cells in dentin-pulp regeneration, and the effects of biomaterials on these events. He is a well-recognized expert in pulp tissue regeneration. In recognition of his outstanding research, he received the “Distinguished Scientist Award 2018” from the Pulp Biology and Regeneration Group.

Dr. Alessandro Agnini graduated in 1989 from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Italy. He has private dental practices in Modena and Sassuolo, Emilia Romagna, Italy and specializes in fixed prosthetics, periodontology and Implantology. He attended a two year program of studies with Gianfranco Carnevale and Gianfranco Di Febo. In 2002 he obtained a diploma in the Multidisciplinary Treatment of Periodontal Patients from the University of Bern, Switzerland. From 2006 he has been an active member of the Italian Academy of Prosthetic Orthodontics. He is a lecturer of specialist courses at the University of Foggia, Puglia, Italy. He is the author of many Italian and international scientific publications and lectures frequently at national congresses in Italy. Since 2007 he has been scientific director of an annual course in Fixed Prosthetics, Periodontology and Implantology based at his own private studios in Emilia Romagna, Italy.
Dr. Andrea Mastrorosa Agnini graduated in 2007 from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia.Dr Agnini works in private practice in Modena and Sassuolo, Emilia Romagna, Italy, following his brother, Alessandro, focusing on Fixed Prosthetic Dentistry, Periodontology, and Implant Dentistry.
