Craig Barrington, DDS, graduated summa cum laude in 1996 from the School of Dentistry at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Microscopes and histology have always been an interest of his, but the first time he looked at a transparent human tooth, he knew that this would be a lifelong focus of his research. To this end, Dr Barrington has made it his mission to understand every diaphanization method that he has come across. Dr Barrington holds a patent in histology and multiple copyrights. He maintains a private practice in Waxahachie, Texas.

Qualified in dentistry from Guy’s Hospital in 1985 and as a Specialist in Oral Surgery, Royal College of Surgeons of England, in 2000. Dr Barter has 37 years’ experience in oral surgery with 30 years involvement in clinical and academic implant dentistry in both private hospital practice and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a private clinic. Dr Barter has previously assisted in the running of the MClinDent in Periodontology at the Eastman Dental Institute London, for over ten years, and the DClinDent Programme at Queen Mary’s University, London for over five years. He is a Fellow of the ITI, a past Chairman of the UK and Ireland Section and has served on ITI international committees and consensus conferences. Dr Barter has published in refereed scientific journals and the dental press and has written several book chapters, is the co-author of ITI Treatment Guide 9 – Implant Therapy in the Geriatric Patient (Quintessence Publishing) and has been an editor of the ITI Treatment Guide series since TG11. He has lectured extensively both nationally and internationally.

Dr. Christopher Barwacz is an Associate Professor with dual appointments in the Department of Family Dentistry and the Craniofacial Clinical Research Program (CCRP) at The University of Iowa College of Dentistry & Dental Clinics. Dr. Barwacz received his DDS degree from The University of Iowa College of Dentistry & Dental Clinics. He obtained his AEGD Certificate from Baylor College of Dentistry, Texas A&M Health Science Center, and subsequently completed an Implant Fellowship at The University of Iowa College of Dentistry & Dental Clinics. Dr. Barwacz currently serves as the Implant Program Director in The Department of Family Dentistry. He is a Fellow in The Academy of General Dentistry, a Fellow in The International College of Dentists, serves on the Academy of Osseointegration’s Fellowship & Certificate Steering Committee, and is a member of the International Association for Dental Research, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU). Dr. Barwacz has clinical translational research funding in oral implantology, specifically related to transmucosal factors that optimize implant prosthetic and mucosal outcomes. He maintains an interdisciplinary faculty intramural practice limited to restorative and implant dentistry at The University of Iowa College of Dentistry & Dental Clinics.

Diplom Ökotrophologin Vera Bausch arbeitet als selbstständige Ernährungs- und Haushaltswissenschaftlerin in Erkelenz. Dr. Panaghiotis “Panos” Bazos received his DDS from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry in 2000. He served as an Assistant Professor at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC, Division of Primary Oral Health, Los Angeles, CA. from 2005-2007, mentoring undergraduate dental students in the disciplines of Dental Morphology and Restorative Dentistry under the supervision of Dr. Pascal Magne, the Don and Sybil Harrington Foundation Chair in Esthetic Dentistry, Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC. Upon returning to Europe, he maintained a private practice limited to aesthetic and restorative dentistry in Athens, Greece. In 2011 he founded the Bio-EmulationTM Group which constitutes a global think tank that promotes clinical excellence in dental restorative techniques when combined with interdisciplinary approaches. From 2013-2016 he completed his postgraduate specialist degree (MClinDent) in Orthodontics and Dento-facial Orthopaedics at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland and has qualified with the Royal Colleges of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MOrth RCS Edin). He is the inventor and the developer of the polar_eyes reflective cross polarisation filter, custom_eyes histo-anatomic injection mould, Bio-Replica histo-anatomic archetype models and recently the co-developer of the OneBite Evolution maxillary plane Cranio-facial registration apparatus. Currently he resides with his family on the Peloponnese in the coastal town of Aigio, Greece and maintains practices limited to Orthodontics and Restorative Dentistry in Athens, Patras and Aigio. In his spare time he moonlights as the line cook at SoCal Cantina.

Prof. Dr. Kathrin Becker completed her dental studies at the Universities of Greifswald and Göttingen from 2005 to 2013, concluding with her doctoral degree in 2014. In parallel, from 2007 to 2014, she studied Applied Computer Science at the Georg-August-University Göttingen, earning a Bachelor's degree in 2010 and a Master's degree in 2014. After stints in the USA and Switzerland, she began her career in 2014 as a research associate at the Clinic for Orthodontics of the University Hospital Düsseldorf. Since 2018, she has been a specialist in orthodontics, and in 2019, she completed her habilitation on "Computer-Aided Analysis Methods for the Automated Calculation of Bone Remodeling on Titanium Implants" at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf. Since 2020, she has served as the senior physician at the Clinic for Orthodontics of the University Hospital Düsseldorf, responsible for the training assistants and the orthodontic director of the interdisciplinary cleft consultation. Prof. Dr. Kathrin Becker assumed the W3 Professorship for Orthodontics at the Charité on October 1st, which also includes the leadership of the Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at the Charité Center for Dental, Oral, and Maxillofacial Medicine at the Campus Benjamin Franklin.
