Procedure
Composite "Filling in a Filling" Repair
Contents
Patient presented with shell-shaped defect in a composite mod-filling, which appeared to be normal, as determined by clinical and radiographic examination. In cases where it is possible to do a filling in a filling, a secure adhesive filling with composite can and should be placed (Frankenberger et al., J Oral Rehabil 2003). The target area was conditioned by means of intraoral silica coating (CoJet Sand, 30 µm) and silane surface conditioning. A bonding agent was then applied. The filling in a filling was then placed and polished. Last photograph: Next recall.
