Urs Belser studierte Zahnmedizin an der Universität Zürich. Im Anschluss promovierte er an der Universität Zürich und arbeitete dort von 1976 bis 1980 als Assistent, später als Oberassistent in der Abteilung für Kronen-Brückenprothetik, Teilprothetik und zahnärztliche Materialkunde des Zahnärztlichen Institutes (Prof. Dr. Peter Schärer). Von 1980 bis 1982 war er Gastdozent in den Abteilungen für orale Biologie (Prof. Dr. A. G. Hannam) und klinische Zahnmedizin (Prof. Dr. W. A. Richter) an der zahnmedizinischen Fakultät der University of British Columbia in Kanada. Von 1983 bis 2012 war Urs Belser ordentlicher Professor und Direktor der Abteilung für Kronen-Brückenprothetik und Okklusion am Zahnärztlichen Institut der Universität Genf. Zudem hatte er von 1984 bis 1988 die Präsidentschaft der Schweizerischen Gesellschaft für Rekonstruktive Zahnmedizin inne. Er erhielt 2002 den Scientific Research Award der Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontics, war von 2002 bis 2003 Präsident der European Association of Prosthodontics (EPA) und 2006 Gastprofessor am Department of Restorative Dentistry and Biomaterials Sciences der Harvard University (Prof. Dr. H. P. Weber). Seit 2012 ist er Gastprofessor an den Kliniken für Orale Chirurgie und Stomatologie (Prof. Dr. D. Buser) sowie für Rekonstruktive Zahnmedizin und Gerodontologie (Prof. Dr. Urs Brägger) der Zahnmedizinischen Kliniken der Universität Bern. Im Jahr 2013 wurde er zum Ehrenmitglied des International Team of Implantology (ITI) ernannt und war von 2013 bis 2017 Chefredakteur des Forum Implantologicum des ITI. In 2014 wurde er Ehrenmitglied auf Lebenszeit des American College of Prosthodontists (ACP) und erhielt dessen Lecturer of the Year Award. Im Jahr 2018 schließlich wurde ihm der Morton Amsterdam Interdisciplinary Teaching Award (zusammen mit Prof. Dr. D. Buser) verliehen. Die Forschungsschwerpunkte von Prof. Belser liegen auf dem Gebiet der Implantologie mit besonderem Fokus auf ästhetischen Fragestellungen sowie bei den neuesten Entwicklungen in den Bereichen CAD/CAM-Technologie und Hochleistungskeramik und der adhäsiven rekonstruktiven Zahnmedizin.

Nitzan Bichacho, D.M.D. holds the post of expert in prosthodontics at the rank of Professor, at the Faculty of Dental Medicine, Hebrew University and Hadassah, Jerusalem, Israel, where he graduated in 1984. Prof. Bichacho is Past President and a Life Member of the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (EAED) and serves on the editorial boards of leading international dental journals. He developed restorative and prosthetic clinical techniques that have become widely used around the world. Prof. Bichacho publishes and lectures worldwide on dental implant therapy, fixed prosthodontics, interdisciplinary treatments and innovative treatment modalities in esthetic dentistry. The Bichacho Clinic in Tel Aviv focuses on high-end esthetic oriented interdisciplinary treatments, collaborating with world renowned colleagues and dental technicians.

Prof. Dr. med. dent. Markus B. Blatz ist Professor und Ärztlicher Direktor der Abteilung für Präventive und Restaurative Zahnheilkunde an der University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in Philadelphia, USA, und Gründer des dortigen Zentrums für CAD/CAM-Technologie und Keramiken. Zudem wurde er nach seiner Habilitation zum Professor an der Abteilung für Zahnärztliche Prothetik der Universität Freiburg ernannt. Prof. Blatz ist zertifizierter Spezialist der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Prothetische Zahnmedizin und Biomaterialien (DGPro), Mitbegründer und Präsident der International Academy for Adhesive Dentistry und aktives Mitglied der European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry. Darüberhinaus ist er Ehrenmitglied des American College of Prosthodontists, Fellow des American College of Dentists sowie Mitglied in zahlreichen anderen Fachgesellschaften. Prof. Blatz ist Mitglied im Fachbeirat mehrerer renommierter wissenschaftlicher Fachzeitschriften und Redakteur der Quintessence International. Er wurde mit zahlreichen Preisen für Lehre und Forschung ausgezeichnet und hat zu den Themen dentale Ästhetik, Biomaterialien und Implantologie vielfach publiziert und referiert.

Dr. Nuno Sousa Dias, DDS, MOrth, received his degree in Dentistry from Universidade Fernando Pessoa (Porto) in 2007. In the same year, he created and registered a Smile's Analysis named SAEF® - Smile's Aesthetic Evaluation Form®. From 2008 to 2012, he completed the full-time Orthodontic Postgraduate Program at Tel Aviv University (ISRAEL). In 2010, he was awarded the 1st prize at the 4th Scientific Research International Competition of the Spring Meeting of the EAED (European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry) in London (UK). He was elected ambassador for EPSOS (European Postgraduate Students Orthodontic Society) for Portugal and Israel in 2011 and 2012. In 2013, he was awarded by SEDO (Sociedad Española de Ortodoncia) with a fund to attend the AGE (Advanced Graduate Education) Didactic Courses at the Department of Orthodontics of HSDM (Harvard School of Dental Medicine). He is a member of several national and international dental and orthodontic scientific organizations. Since 2013, he has been practicing limited orthodontics at his own private clinic NSD-DENTISTRY in Portugal. He also collaborates with multidisciplinary teams in Belgium, Germany, and Istanbul. Additionally, he is an international lecturer in the field of Orthodontics and Smile's aesthetics.

Dr. Gonzalez-Martin received the DDS degree from University of Seville in 1999 and was appointed as an assistant professor at the same university from 1999 to 2005, while also working in a private practice. In 2005, he moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (USA) to obtain an MS degree in Graduate Periodontics and Periodontal-Prosthesis in 2009 from University of Pennsylvania (UPenn). He received the Arnold Weisgold’s Director’s Award. He joined the UPenn faculty as an Adjunct Assistant Professor in 2009 and he currently keeps the position. He became a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontics in 2009. In 2010, he received a scholarship to join to the Fixed Prosthodontic and Occlusion Department at the University of Geneva School of Dental Medicine. In 2015, he obtained an International PhD at the University of Seville. Currently, he serves as Editor-in-Chief for The International Journal of Periodontics & Restorative Dentistry. At present, he teaches in the graduate program of Periodontology at University Complutense of Madrid, Part-time in Restorative Dentistry and Biomaterials Sciences Harvard School of Dental Medicine while continuing work at a private practice, Atelier Dental Madrid, exclusive to periodontics, prosthesis, and implants.

Dr. Gracis studierte in den USA, wo er zunächst an der University of Pennsylvania einen D.M.D.-Abschluss und anschließend an der University of Washington ein Master of Science in der Prothetik erwarb. 1990 kehrte er nach Mailand zurück und arbeitet seither in einer Privatpraxis, die sich auf Prothetik und restaurative Zahnheilkunde spezialisiert hat. Er ist aktives Mitglied der Italian Academy of Prosthetic Dentistry, deren Präsident er in den Jahren 2007-2008 war, und der European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, deren Präsident er in der Amtszeit 2016-2018 war. Er ist Mitglied des Redaktionsbeirats des International Journal of Esthetic Dentistry und des International Journal of Prosthodontics.

Dr. Ueli Grunder ist Fachzahnarzt für rekonstruktive Zahnmedizin (Spezialistenstatus SSRD) und hat den Spezialistenausweis (WBA) in oraler Implantologie. Die zusammen mit Thomas Gaberthüel gegründete Praxis in Zollikon-Zürich führt er heute mit David Schneider und Jörg Michel. In seiner internationalen Vortragstätigkeit und diversen Publikationen befasst er sich mit den chirurgischen und prothetischen Aspekten der Implantologie. Sein Buch "Implantate in der ästhetischen Zone" wurde 2015 im Quintessenz Verlag publiziert und wurde bereits in 11 Sprachen übersetzt. Dr. Ueli Grunder ist Past-Präsident der Schweizerischen Gesellschaft für Implantologie (SGI) und der European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (EAED).

Privatdozent Dr. Arndt Happe studierte Zahnmedizin an der Universität Münster. Nach dem Staatsexamen folgten die Promotion 1996 und die Fachzahnarztausbildung bei Prof. Dr. F. Khoury, mit dem er die ersten wissenschaftlichen Beiträge veröffentlichte. Parallel bildete er sich im Bereich Parodontologie und plastische Parodontalchirurgie fort. 1999 schloss er die Weiterbildung zum Oralchirurgen erfolgreich ab und übernahm die Praxis der Eltern Dr. Herwig Happe und Dr. Gabriele Happe in Münster. 2000 erwarb er den Tätigkeitsschwerpunkt Implantologie und 2004 den Tätigkeitsschwerpunkt Parodontologie. Er bildete sich kontinuierlich fort, auch im Bereich der restaurativen Zahnheilkunde. Es folgten Dozententätigkeiten in Postgraduiertenprogrammen verschiedener Fachgesellschaften und Zahnärztekammern, häufig in Zusammenarbeit mit Dr. Gerd Körner, mit dem ihn eine langjährige Freundschaft verbindet. 2013 folgte die Habilitation und Verleihung der Venia legendi an der Universität zu Köln (Abteilung für MKG- und Plastische Chirurgie, Oralchirurgie und Implantologie der Universitätsklinik zu Köln, Direktor Prof. Dr. Dr. J. E. Zöller). Priv.-Doz. Dr. Happe ist ein gefragter Referent auf nationalen und internationalen Kongressen sowie Autor und Koautor verschiedener wissenschaftlicher Artikel und Buchkapitel; er ist "Active Member" der European Academy for Esthetic Dentistry (EAED) und Mitglied zahlreicher anderer wissenschaftlicher Vereinigungen.

Prof. Dr. Markus Hürzeler zählt zu den weltweit führenden Spezialisten für komplexe Implantatbehandlungen. Von ihm entwickelte Operationsmethoden kommen selbst bei schwierigsten Fällen mit großem Erfolg zum Einsatz. Entsprechend ist Prof. Hürzeler ein international gefragter Referent und Ausbilder für Zahnärzte.

Gründung der Privatpraxis für Parodontologie und Implantattherapie mit Dr. Otto Zuhr. 2002 Professor für Zahnmedizin, Medizinischen Fakultät der Albert-Ludwigs-Universität, Freiburg. 2008 Gründung des Huerzeler/Zuhr Education Centers. Präsident der EAED.

Mehr als 150 wissenschaftliche Publikationen auf dem Gebiet der Implantologie, Parodontologie und Geweberegeneration. Nationaler und internationaler Referent zu Themen der Parodontologie und Implantattherapie. 2012 Veröffentlichung des Bestsellers „Plastic-Esthetic Periodontal and Implant Surgery – A Microsurgical Approach“ mit Dr. Zuhr.

Dr. Lambert schloss ihr Studium der Parodontologie an der Universität Lüttich ab, wo sie im selben Fach promovierte. Sie absolvierte zudem ein Stipendienprogramm in oraler Implantologie an der renommierten Harvard School of Dental Medicine sowie an der University of Washington. Derzeit ist sie Leiterin der Klinik für Parodontologie und Oralchirurgie an der Universität Lüttich. Ihre klinische Arbeit konzentriert sich ausschließlich auf Implantologie, mucogingivale Chirurgie und Parodontologie. Ihre wissenschaftlichen Forschungsgebiete umfassen verschiedene Aspekte der Verwendung von Biomaterialien und Zahnimplantaten.

Konrad Meyenberg studierte Zahnmedizin an der Universität Zürich. Anschließend an drei Jahre Privatpraxis absolvierte er ein 4-Jahres-Programm in rekonstruktiver Zahnheilkunde an der Abteilung für Kronen- und Brückenprothetik in Zürich bei Prof. P. Schärer. Seine klinischen Schwerpunkte in der Privatpraxis liegen in der aktuellen rekonstruktiven Zahnheilkunde. Zusammen mit den Praxispartnern Marco J. Imoberdorf & Christian Ramel (Parodontologie, Implantologie) und Frank Paqué (Endodontie) werden vor allem rekonstruktiv-aesthetisch anspruchsvolle Fälle behandelt. Aktiv-Mitglied der European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, der Academy of Osseointegration, der SGI, der SSRD und Spezialist SSRD/SSO und EDA für rekonstruktive Zahnheilkunde. Nazariy Mykhaylyuk is a specialist in a field of microscopic dentistry (mostly indirect restorative dentistry). Works in Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine in family clinic in a team with his father and dental technician Bohdan Mykhaylyuk (Oral Design Ukraine). 2008 he qualified as a dentist in Ivano-Frankivsk Medical University. 2010 Created Mykhaylyuk Study Center and started organising courses for dentists on topic "Tooth preparation with microscope for full crowns". Organised about 80 courses in Mykhaylyuk Study center for about 700 dentists. Was lecturing about 70 times in Ukraine and worldwide. Started organising new courses on topics – "Photo and video documentation in dentistry. Microscopic approach", "Total rehabilitation from A to Z", "Indirect restoration – from macro to micro. MicroVision approach"; Developed his personal kit for teeth preparation for full crowns (Komet); 2013 developed hand instrument for finishing preparations (enamel chisels – Deppeler); developed MicroVision preparation kit for veneers and onlays (Komet).; posted in Journal of Cosmetic Dentistry AACD Winter Edition. Became a DentalXP expert. Doing more and more international hands-on courses and lectures about microscopic dentistry worldwide. Co-founder of MicroVision group. 2018 He opened a clinic in Kyiv.

Dr. Stavros Pelekanos received his undergraduate degree in Dentistry (D.D.S.) from the Univ. of Athens, Greece. In 1993, he obtained his doctoral degree in Prosthodontics (DMD) from the Univ. of Freiburg, Germany. Following his professional training, Dr. Pelekanos established a private practice in Athens, oriented towards prosthodontics, implantology and esthetic dentistry. In 2002, he was appointed full-time Lecturer at the Department of Prosthodontics, Univ. of Athens, Greece, and in 2012 Assistant Professor in the same department. Since 2013 he is an active member of EAED. His professional affiliations include: The Int. Coll. of Prosthodontics (ICP), European Prosth. Association (EPA), Greek Prosth. Association. He is a faculty member of gIDE Institute, Los Angeles and Dental Tribune (CME courses) lecturing internationally and performing hands on courses on implants, aesthetics and restorative procedures.

Dr. Andrea Ricci graduates from University of Perugia in 1996.

In 1999, after a three years training program he achieved the Certificate in Advanced Prosthodontics at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. In the same university he had didactic activity.

Since 1999 he limits his practice to Prosthodontics, Periodontology and Implant Dentistry with special emphasis to the aesthetic and functional rehabilitations.

He is an Active Member of the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (EAED), Associate Member of the American Academy of Restorative Dentistry (AARD), Active Member of the Italian Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (IAED).

He is member to several committees in the Academy where he belongs. Co-author of several papers published in international journals.

He is founder and Scientific Director of IDEAT (Institute of Dental Education and Therapy), a teaching institute that organizes on-site and on-line training courses for dentists.

Since 2004 He has lectured extensively in Europe, United States, China, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, United Arab Emirates and in Japan.

Since 2005 he has run courses for dentists and technicians in his office and around the world.

On January 2018, after 5 years of training, he became a Coach of the Roberto Re Leadership School, the biggest personal growth organization in Europe. On December 2019 he was voted “best coach of the year”.

Giano Ricci graduated with a degree in medicine and specialized in dentistry at the University of Florence. In 1974, he obtained his Master’s of Science in Periodontology from Boston University. He is an author of numerous publications in the periodontal field and author of Diagnosis and Periodontal Therapy (Quintessence, 2014). He is an active member of the EFP; honorary member of the AIOP; cofounder, past president and active member of SIdP and cofounder and immediate past president of the EAED. He has delivered lectures, practical demonstrations and continuing education courses in periodontology, implantology and esthetic dentistry in Europe, the United States, and Japan.

Prof. Dr. Irena Sailer promovierte an der Universität Tübingen in Deutschland (1997/1998). Sie erhielt eine Assistenzprofessur an der Klinik für festsitzende und herausnehmbare Prothetik und zahnärztliche Materialkunde in Zürich, Schweiz (2003), wo sie ab 2010 als außerordentliche Professorin tätig war. Im Jahr 2007 war Prof. Dr. Sailer Visiting Scholar am Department of Biomaterials and Biomimetics am Dental College der New York University, USA. Seit 2009 ist sie Gastprofessorin am Department of Preventive and Restorative Sciences, Robert Schattner Center, University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, USA (Leitung: Prof. Dr. M. B. Blatz). Prof. Dr. Sailer ist Direktorin der Abteilung für festsitzende Prothetik und Biomaterialien an der Universität Genf, Schweiz. Im Jahr 2019 erhielt sie eine Honorarprofessur an der Universität Aarhus, Dänemark. Sie ist Spezialistin für Prothetik (Schweizerische Gesellschaft für Rekonstruktive Zahnmedizin) und besitzt ein Zertifikat für besondere Aktivitäten in der dentalen Implantologie (WBA) der Schweizerischen Gesellschaft für Zahnmedizin. Sie ist Mitglied des Vorstands der European Association of Osseointegration (EAO), Vizepräsidentin der European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (EAED), Mitglied der Schweizerischen Gesellschaft für Rekonstruktive Zahnmedizin, des Education Committee des International Team for Implantology (ITI) und der Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontics (GNYAP) sowie Chefredakteurin des International Journal of Prosthodontics und hat zahlreiche Publikationen veröffentlicht.

Dr. Zhang is a Professor in the Department of Preventive and Restorative Sciences at Penn Dental Medicine. He received his B.S. in Physics from Shanghai Normal University in 1986 and his M.S. in Physics from La Trobe University, Victoria, Australia in 1997. He went on to earn his Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Monash University, Victoria, Australia in 2002. Dr. Zhang completed his first Research Fellowship in Materials Science and Engineering at Monash University in 2002. For his second research fellowship, which was completed in 2005, Dr. Zhang worked on a joint project among New York University College of Dentistry, the National Institute of Standards and Technology, and the American Dental Association Foundation. Prior to joining Penn Dental Medicine, Dr. Zhang was on the faculty at New York University College of Dentistry in the Department of Biomaterials and Biomimetics. During his time at NYU, he was recognized for his commitment to excellence in research and teaching, receiving The Kathleen C. Kinnally Award for Outstanding Scientific Achievement in 2018 and the Outstanding Teaching Award, given by the Faculty Council, in 2015. Dr. Zhang’s main research interests are: (1) Developing functionally graded and nanostructured materials for dental and biomedical devices; (2) Elucidating competing damage modes in all-ceramic restorations under mastication; (3) Characterizing the wear and fatigue behavior of dental materials; and (4) Improving the fracture resistance of veneered prostheses through the reduction of deleterious residual tensile stresses.
