Marcelo Calamita graduated in 1988 from the University of Sao Paulo, where he also obtained his certificate, MS, and PhD in prosthodontics. He is Visiting professor in the Department of Restorative Dental Sciences at the University of Florida and worked as Associate Professor of Prosthodontics at University Braz Cubas and University of Guarulhos in Sao Paulo. Marcelo Calamita is the former president of the Brazilian Society of Esthetic Dentistry and the Brazilian Academy of Esthetic Dentistry. He was Editor-in-chief of the Dental Press Brazilian Journal of Esthetics and currently serves on the editorial board of the International Journal of Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry and International Journal of Esthetic Dentistry, Brazilian editions. In addition, he has lectured nationally and internationally, written numerous scientific publications on treatment planning and esthetic dentistry. He also maintains a private practice in Sao Paulo focusing on comprehensive restorative, esthetic and prosthetic dentistry.
Dr Calciolari graduated in Dentistry at the University of Parma in 2010 and completed a Master in Periodontology at the University of Siena in 2012. In 2012 she won a 3-year scholarship from the Italian Society of Periodontology, which sponsored her PhD on bone regeneration at the UCL Eastman Dental Institute of London. Currently, she is working as a Senior Lecturer at the Centre for Oral Clinical Research at Queen Mary University of London, and at the University of Parma, where she combines research and teaching activities both with undergraduate and post-graduate students.
She authored numerous peer-reviewed original publications and book chapters and presented at several national and international conferences in the field of Periodontology and Implant Dentistry, including EAO, IADR, EuroPerio, AO, and Italian Society of Periodontology. She attended the 2019 and 2020 consensus conferences of the European Federation of Periodontology and contributed to the development of the treatment guidelines for periodontitis stages I, II and III.
Dr Calciolari was awarded with the Goldman award for clinical research in 2014 and in the same year she received the John Zamet prize by the Alpha Omega London Chapter and Charitable Trust. In 2017 she was awarded the prestigious L’Oréal-UNESCO for women in science award, being the first Italian dentist to receive it. In 2018 she received the IADR Women in Science Distinguished Research Award.
I was born in 1980 in Marseille-France and i have graduated in 2006 from the University of the méditerranean – Faculty of Dentistry of Marseille. I have graduated in 2008 from the same university the DUORE ( university degree of aesthetic and adhesive dentistry ). I am a member and a teacher of the Smile Academy (www.academie-du-sourire.com) with André Faucher (my professionnal father), Jean-Louis Brouillet and Jean-Christophe Paris and a member of Mimesis, a research group in aesthetic and adhesive dentistry (www.mimesis-esthetique.com). Associate Professor A. Burak Çankaya, DDS, graduated from Kadıköy Anatolian High School in 1995, and from Istanbul University, Faculty of Dentistry, in 2000. He worked as a visiting lecturer at Klinikum Osnabrück GmbH – Klinik für Mund-, Kiefer-, Gesichtschirurgie in 2006 and 2007. He acquired his PhD in 2007 and became Associate Professor in 2012. His professional areas of interest include impacted tooth surgery, dental traumatology, dental implants, and bone regeneration. He is a member of the Turkish Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Luigi Canullo, DDS, PhD, is visiting professor at the University of Berna in Switzerland, active member of the Italian Academy for Osseointegration and the European Academy of Osseointegration, and reviewer for several journals in implant dentistry. He is the recipient of numerous awards and is author of more than 100 publications. Dr Canullo lectures nationally and internationally and maintains a private practice in Rome limited to surgery and implant-supported prosthetic rehabilitation.

In 2001 earned the Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Periodontology after a 3-year program at Boston Univ. Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. In 2002 passed the exams of the American Board of Periodontology becoming a Diplomate. He is an active member of the Italian Society of Periodontology and Implantology (SIdP), an active member of the Italian Academy of Osseointegration (IAO) and an Active Member of the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (EAED). He has published several articles in the fields of periodontology and implantology in international journals and lectures extensively both nationally and internationally. Author of the chapter titled “Soft Tissue Management Around Dental Implants” in Practical Periodontal Plastic Surgery edited by Blackwell Munksgaard. Dr. Olivier Carcuac received his dental degree in France. After graduating dental school with honors, Dr. Carcuac continued his training in Sweden, where he completed his specialization in Periodontics. Working at the Department of Periodontology at the Institute of Odontology, University of Gothenburg, Dr Carcuac defended in 2015 his PhD with title "Periodontitis and Peri-implantitis – Experimental and Clinical studies". Involved in the under- and post-graduate programs at the Institute for Odontology, University of Gothenburg, Sweden, Dr Carcuac is co-author of iMuco-Gingival Recessions, the first iPad application on microsurgical periodontal plastic surgery created and developed in collaboration with Dr. Frederic Elharar. As Key Opinion Leader for Hu-Friedy, Dr Carcuac is involved in the Hu-Friedy University Program-Middle East, giving lectures in several Universities in Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and other GCC countries. Current part-time private practitioner at My Dental Clinic (Al Thanya Street, Umm Suqeim) and at ConfiDent Dental Surgery Clinic (Golden Mile Galleria 2, Dubai Palm Jumeirah) in Dubai - UAE, Dr Carcuac is an active senior researcher at the Department of Periodontology at the University of Gothenburg - Sweden. Daniele Cardaropoli, DDS, is adjunct professor in periodontology at the University of Catania, scientific director of ProEd Institute for Professional Education in Dentistry in Torino, Italy, and president of the Giuseppe Cardaropoli Foundation for Research and Care in Periodontology. He is an active member of several organizations and recipient of several awards, including the Henry M. Goldman Award for the Clinical Research. Dr Cardaropoli is the author of more than 30 articles published in peer-reviewed international journals and coeditor of the textbook Soft Tissues and Pink Esthetics in Implant Therapy (Quintessence, 2019). He maintains a private practice in Torino, Italy.
Dr Carrassi is a professor of dentistry and stomatology, head of the Operative Unit of Oral Medicine and Oral Pathology at the San Paolo Hospital in Milan and dean pro tempore of the Medical Faculty of the University of Milan. He has a degree in medicine and surgery and is specialized in stomatology and in general pathology. Dr Carrassi has served in several scientific societies and he has been a past president of the Association for Dental Education in Europe, the European Association of Oral Medicine and the SIdP.
Domenico Cascione obtained his primary education in Bari (Italy), where he was also certified as a Dental Technologist (CDT) in 1985. From 1991 to 2004 he carried out metallurgy research becoming a specialist in dental metallurgy. From 1986 to 2004 he was the owner and director of Dental Laboratory in Bari (Italy). He is a Master Ceramist and also is specialized in metallurgy, implant work and complex esthetic rehabilitation. In 2005 he holds a Bachelor of Science of the Dental Technology degree from the University of Southerh Illinois . From 2005 to 2008 he was Research Associate and Program Director, Advanced Training for Dental Technology at the Center for Dental Technology, the University Of Southern California Herman Ostrow School Of Dentistry. From 2009 to 2016 was a Clinical Assistant Professor and Course Director for the Advanced Dental Morphology for the Operative Dentistry Program at the University Of Southern California Ostrow School Of Dentistry. He Is a Lead Faculty Department of Restorative Dentistry –Dental Laboratory Technology Program-Division of Health Sciences at Pasadena City College. He is a Faculty/Lecturer UCLA School of Dentistry Division of Advanced Prosthodontics . He is a winner of award 2007 Judson C. Hichey in the research category in the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry. He is an Editor in Chief of the Spectrum Dialogue magazine .He is the President of OPERART LLC dental laboratory in Santa Monica California.He is author and co-author of several articles in the literature. He is the author of the Book Symbiosis: Art & Technique.
Paolo Casentini teaches postgraduate courses in oral implantology and oral surgery at the University of Milan in Italy. He is fellow and chairman of the Italian section of the ITI, an active member of the Italian Academy of Osseointegration (IAO) and a member of SIdP. Paolo Casentini is author or coauthor of several scientific papers about implantology and regenerative surgery published on peer-reviewed international journals. He has contributed as author or coauthor to 10 textbooks about implantology, pre-implant surgery and oral surgery; some of which have been translated in several other languages. He is also coauthor of the ITI Treatment Guide volume 4, which has been translated into 9 languages. His main fields of interest are the surgical and prosthetic aspects of implantology and periodontology in advanced and esthetically demanding cases. He has extensively lectured on these topics during international congresses and courses in 35 different countries.
Dr. Castellucci graduated in Medicine at the University of Florence in 1973 and he specialized in Dentistry at the same University in 1977. From 1978 to 1980 he attended continuing education courses on Endodontics at Boston University School of Graduate Dentistry with Prof. Herbert Schilder. As well as running a practice limited to Endodontics, Dr. Castellucci is Past President of the Italian Endodontic Society S.I.E., Past President of the International Federation of Endodontic Associations I.F.E.A., Active Member of the European Society of Endodontology E.S.E., Active Member of the American Association of Endodontists A.A.E..
