Sergio De Paoli, MD, DDS, graduated with degrees in medicine, surgery, and dentistry from the University of Bologna and a degree in dental medicine from the University of Geneva. He is certified in stomatology from the University of Rome and periodontology from Boston University. Dr De Paoli is the Coeditor of The International Journal of Periodontics & Restorative Dentistry in Italy and maintains a private practice limited to periodontics in Ancona, Italy.
Luca De Stavola covers the position of Visiting professor of Periodontology and lecturer for the Osseointegrated implantology Master of the University of Padua (Italy). Graduaded in 2001 at the University of Padua (Italy) dental school, Luca De Stavola gets his specialization in Oral Surgeryin 2007 at the “Privatzahnklinik Schloss Schellenstein” (Westfalen-Lippe, Germany) under the guidance of Prof. F. Khoury; in the same year he concludes the Master of Oral Medicine in implantology at the Westfalischen Wilhelms University in Münster (Germany). An internationally renowned speaker for his interdisciplinary approach between periodontology and restorative surgery, Luca De Stavola is author of several research peer reviewed papers, and is an active SIO (Italian Association of Osseointegrated Implantology) and EAO (European Academy of Osseointegration) member, and is widely considered one of the most emerging Italian speakers in bone reconstruction and soft tissue management. His latest publications and courses focus on computer-guided bone surgery and optimal soft tissue management.
Marco Degidi, DDS, is an adjunct professor for the postgraduate master’s in clinical implantology at the University of Bologna. He is an active member of the Academy of Osseointegration and a diplomate of the International College of Oral Implantology. Dr Degidi is the inventor of the WeldOne Concept as well as the Conometric Concept. He has published 153 articles on peer-reviewed journals and received numerous awards. Dr Degidi lectures internationally in the fields of immediate loading, primary stability, biomaterials, and esthetic dentistry and maintains a private practice limited to implant surgery and prosthetics in Bologna, Italy.
Massimo Del Fabbro graduated with a degree in biology from the University of Milan, where he also earned his PhD in human physiology and is currently an associate professor in dentistry. He was director of the Research Centre in Oral Health from 2011 to 2016 and has been Director of the PhD program in Oral Sciences at the University of Milan since 2015. In 2002 he became Head of the Section of Oral Pathophysiology at the IRCCS Galeazzi Orthopaedic Institute in Milan. Dr Del Fabbro is also a founding member and active member of the ANTHEC (Academy of Non-Transfusional Hemo-Components). His current research fields are periodontology, implant dentistry, endodontics and endodontic surgery, biomaterials and tissue engineering and biology of platelet concentrates.
Nicholas M. Dello Russo, DMD, MScD, is an instructor in periodontics at Harvard University School of Dental Medicine and an attending periodontist in the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon and the International College of Dentists.
Serge Dibart, DMD, MSD, is professor and chair of the Department of Periodontology at the Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. He has been working on surgically accelerated orthodontics for the past 14 years and developed Piezocision in 2009 as a minimally invasive alternative to existing surgical procedures. Dr Dibart lectures extensively nationally and internationally, has published in peer-reviewed journals, and is the author of four books. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and maintains a private practice limited to periodontics and implant dentistry in Boston, Massachusetts.
Dr Didier Dietschi graduated from the University of Geneva Dental School, Switzerland, in 1984, where he completed specialty training in periodontology and restorative dentistry. He held the positions of assistant, lecturer, and senior lecturer at the same university, where he received his doctoral title in 1988 under the supervision of Prof Jacques Holz and a Privat-Docent degree in 2004. He earned his PhD in 2003 at the Academic Centre for Dentistry in Amsterdam, Netherlands, under the guidance of Prof Carel Davidson. In 1990, he started a part-time practice in a private office in Geneva limited to esthetic restorative dentistry with a focus on soft tissue management and implantology. Since 2005, he has held the position of adjunct professor at Case Western Reserve University (USA) and maintained his part-time senior lecturer position at the University of Geneva in the Department of Cariology and Endodontics headed by Prof Ivo Krejci. Dr Dietschi has won numerous awards for his contributions to adhesive restorative dentistry. He is an active lecturer author, journal reviewer, and industry consultant and has contributed to significant improvements in the field of composite shading with the development of the so-called “Natural Layering Concept”. He coauthored the book Adhesive Metal-Free Restorations, edited in 1997 by Quintessence and translated into seven languages. Dr Dietschi is internationally acclaimed for his theoretical and practical teaching programs focused on adhesive and esthetic restorations with the integration of scientific evidence and implementation of new technologies in the field of minimally invasive esthetic dentistry applied to the restorations of anterior and posterior teeth.
