Priv. Doz. Dr. Gerhard Iglhaut

Privat-Dozent Dr. Gerhard Iglhaut ist Absolvent der Justus-Liebig-Universität in Gießen und seit 1987 in freier Praxis in Memmingen niedergelassen. Daneben engagiert er sich seit mehr als zwei Jahrzehnten in der zahnärztlichen Fortbildung, u. a. mit regelmäßigen Kursen im eigenen Institut.

Heute ist Dr. Iglhaut ein national wie international gefragter Referent in den Bereichen Implantologie, Parodontologie, plastische Parodontalchirurgie und parodontale Mikrochirurgie. Zudem lehrt er als Dozent und ist wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter des Universitätsklinikums Freiburg.

Von 2012 bis 2015 war Dr. Gerhard Iglhaut Präsident der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Implantologie (DGI) – damit führte er drei Jahre lang die größte wissenschaftliche implantologische Fachgesellschaft Europas.

Mario Imburgia DDS, PhD

Mario Imburgia, DDS, PhD, graduated with honors in dentistry at the University of Palermo, Italy, and completed his doctorate in periodontology in 2004. He is a member of the Italian Academy of Prosthetic Dentistry and a fellow of the International Academy for Dento-Facial Esthetics. Dr Imburgia is Assistant Clinical Teacher at the University of Warwick in Conventry, England, as well as Visiting Professor at the City of London Dental School. He is a speaker at national and international conferences and focuses on topics related to implant, prosthetic, and esthetic dentistry. Dr Imburgia maintains a private practice in Palermo.

Stefano Inglese

Since receiving his degree in dental technology, Stefano Inglese has shown a strong and consistent interest in the exact aesthetic and functional reproduction of dental restorations, concentrating his work in dental ceramics. Thanks to his passion for art and science as well as numerous courses and work experiences abroad with renowned master technicians and clinicians, Stefano has perfected his technique and precision in aesthetics, function, and biologic integration. He is the owner of a dental laboratory in Pescina (Aq), Italy, and one of the founding members of the Dental Excellence International Laboratory Group. In 2003 he won second prize in the Occlusal Compass, an international competition for dental technicians, and first prize for the best scientific and photographic documentation. He is an active member of the Italian Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (IAED). Stefano has written for national and international dental publications, including Quintessence of Dental Technology (Quintessence, 2012 and 2014) and Quintessenz Zahntechnik, and contributed to a chapter by Dr Anthony Sclar in the book Interdisciplinary Treatment Planning, Volume II, edited by Michael Cohen (Quintessence, 2011). He presents at conferences and collaborates with clinicians of international fame in Italy and abroad.

Dr. Tomohiro Ishikawa

Japan, Hamamatsu

Studium der Zahnmedizin an der Universität Hiroshima, Abschluss 1988. Anschließend Anstellung als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter der Abteilung für Mund- und Kieferchirurgie derselben Universität. 1994 Spezialisierung in Parodontologie, Restaurativer Zahnheilkunde und Implantologie am Japan Institute for Advanced Dentistry Studies. 1996 Gründung einer eigenen Praxis in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka. Dr. Ishikawa ist Mitgründer von 5-D Japan (Institute of periodontics, endodontics, implantology, microscopic dentistry and esthetics), Instrukteur der Japanese Academy of Clinical Periodontology  und  Präsident des Osseointegration Study  Club of Japan. Er ist Mitglied der American Academy of Periodontolog y und der Academy of Osseointegration.

Prof. Dr. Saso Ivanovski BDSc BDentSt MDSc(Perio) PhD FICD FADI

Australien, Herston

Professor Saso Ivanovski established Brisbane City Periodontics and Implants (BCPI) with Dr Ken Nixon (now retired) in 2006. He works at BCPI on a part time basis, and combines this with his position as Professor of Periodontology at the University of Queensland, where he is program director for the specialist training program in Periodontics. He is also the Director of the Centre for Oral Regeneration, Reconstruction and Rehabilitation (COR3).

Saso graduated with BDSc (Honors) from the University of Queensland School of Dentsitry in 1993. He subsequently completed a BDentSt research degree in 1995, following which he was awarded a National Health and Medical Research (NH&MRC) postgraduate scholarship and commenced a PhD which was completed in 2000. This was followed by specialist training leading to the award of an MDSc in Periodontology in 2002. During his studies, Saso worked in private practice, initially as a dentist (1994-2002), and subsequently as a specialist periodontist.

Saso was a NH&MRC postdoctoral fellow and a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland from 2003 to 2006. During this period, he was awarded a fellowship by the International Team for Implantology (ITI) and spent a year as a clinical research fellow at the Eastman Dental Institute in London. Upon his return from London in late 2004, Saso joined Dr Ken Nixon’s practice and Brisbane City Periodontics and Implants was formally established in 2006.

In 2006, Saso was appointed the inaugural Chair and Professor of Periodontology at the Griffith University School of Dentistry and Oral Health where he leads the specialist training program in periodontology. He served as Deputy Head of School Research and led the Regenerative Medicine Centre at the Griffith Health Institute, before moving back to the University of Queensland in 2017

Saso is a fellow of the International Team for Implantology, International College of Dentists and the Academy of Dentistry International, and has served as federal president of the Australasian Osseointegration Society (AOS) and the Australian Society of Periodontology (ASP). He is currently a boraf member of the Australian Dental Research Foundation (ADRF) and chair of the ADRF Research Advisory Committee. Saso has published over 200 papers and book chapters in the peer-reviewed international literature, has lectured extensively nationally and internationally and has been the recipient of numerous research grants and awards. He leads an internationally recognized research group with an interest in clinical implantology and periodontology, as well as the cellular and molecular aspects of osseointegration and periodontal regeneration.
