Dr. Ravindra Nanda is Professor Emeritus, Former UConn Alumni Endowed Chair and Head of the Department of Craniofacial Sciences and Division of Orthodontics, University of Connecticut, Farmington, Connecticut, U.S.A. He is also an Adjunct Professor at The Forsyth Institute, Cambridge, Ma, USA.

He received his dental and orthodontic training first at Lucknow, India and then from Nymegen, The Netherlands and the University of Connecticut. He also received a Ph.D. from the University of Nymegen. Since 1972 he has been associated with the University of Connecticut in various academic roles including Chair of Orthodontics from 1991 to 2017.

Dr. Nanda has been active in orthodontic research in the area of biomechanics, clinical trials and acceleration of orthodontic treatment. He has authored with his colleagues more than 250 scientific papers. He is Editor-in-Chief of Progress in Orthodontics and he is on the editorial board of ten different national and international orthodontic journals. He is also an associate editor of Journal of Clinical Orthodontics.

In 2022 he was awarded Fellow of World Federation of Orthodontics (WFO). He has given numerous named lectures at national and international societies including Mershon and Angle Heritage Lectures at the American Association of Orthodontics and Sheldon Friel Lecture at  the 2011 EOS Congress. He has been recognized with Honorary memberships and has received various awards from numerous international orthodontic organizations.

Dr. Nanda has authored and co-authored eight text books Retention and Stability (with Dr. Burstone), Biomechanics in Clinical Orthodontics , Biomechanic and Esthetic Strategies In Clinical Orthodontics, Temporary Anchorage Devices in Orthodontics (with Dr. Uribe), Current Therapy in Orthodontics(with Dr. Kapila),  Esthetics and Biomechanics in Orthodontics, and recently “ Orthodontics, two volumes “ (with Prof. Farronato), and  Atlas of Complex Orthodontics (with Dr. Uribe). He has two new books coming out in 2019, Temporary Anchorage Devices (with Drs. Uribe and Yadav) and Principles and Biomechanics of Aligner Orthodontic Treatment (with Castroflorio, Garino and Ojima).

Amar Naru is a practitioner in private practice and involved in postgraduate occlusion teaching. His PhD Digital image analysis of the human bite mark has contributed significantly to forensic dentistry. In this book, his skills in digital illustration and computer animation combine to aid the understanding of otherwise difficult concepts within dentistry.

Dr. José Manuel Navarro erhielt ein Zertifikat in Parodontologie und Implantatzahnmedizin nach Abschluss eines dreijährigen Programms am New York University College of Dentistry (Vorsitzender Dennis Tarnow). Zudem wurde ihm ein Master of Science in Biomaterialien von der NYUCD für seine Forschung zu hochfesten Keramiken verliehen (Vorsitzender Van Thompson). Dr. Navarro hat für seine Forschung Auszeichnungen von verschiedenen Gesellschaften erhalten, einschließlich des Best Presentation Awards der Academy of Osseointegration (AO) im Jahr 2007 und des Research Awards der European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (EAED) im Jahr 2011. Er hat mehrere begutachtete Veröffentlichungen und Buchkapitel mitverfasst und ist Mitherausgeber des Buches „High Strength Ceramics“. Dr. Navarro gehört zum Redaktionsausschuss des European Journal of Esthetic Dentistry (EJED), des International Journal of Oral Implantology (IJOI) und ist Chefredakteur von Quintessence International auf Spanisch. Er war Vorsitzender des Junior Committees der European Association for Osseointegration (EAO) und ist Gastdozent an verschiedenen Universitäten. Derzeit führt er eine Privatpraxis mit Schwerpunkt auf Parodontologie, Prothetik und Implantatzahnmedizin in Spanien und London.

Prof. Nebe has been Head of the Cell Biology Department at Rostock University Medical Center since 2013. Her research focuses on cell-biological aspects of biosystem-material interaction, cellular acceptance of plasma-chemically and topographically modified biomaterials, regulation of cell physiology in three-dimensional implant scaffolds and the cell-structure-cell function relationship, cellular adhesion.

Sybille Neubert wurde 1966 geboren, hat zwei Töchter und liebt es, immer mal wieder etwas Neues ins Leben zu rufen. Deshalb entschied sie sich auch, ihr Buch „Bewegung im Babyalter“, zu schreiben. Hier finden Eltern wertvolle Empfehlungen, um ihr Neugeborenes gerade während der ersten Monate spielerisch zu fördern. Frau Neubert ist zertifizierte Physiotherapeutin und hat seit 1998 eine eigene Praxis mit Schwerpunkt Kindertherapie. Seit über 20 Jahren arbeitet sie mit Kleinkindern, Säuglingen, Babys und Teenagern mit körperlichen und auch geistigen Einschränkungen. Sie hat sechs Jahre unterrichtet und gab Fortbildungen für Tagesmütter und Erziehern zu den Themen „Motorik, Wahrnehmung & Spiel“. Sybille Neubert hat zudem eine Zusatzqualifikation für die Vojta-Therapie – eine physiotherapeutische Behandlungsmethode bei Störungen des zentralen Nervensystems sowie des Haltungs- und Bewegungsapparates.

ZTM Gerhard Neuendorff, Jahrgang 1957, hat 1978 die Gesellenprüfung in der Zahntechnik bestanden, 1985 folgte die Meisterprüfung. Seit 1979 ist er Leiter der ZIF Innovationsschmiede Dentaltechnik Dr. Kirsch GmbH. Zu seinen Hauptarbeitsgebieten gehören die labortechnische Entwicklung und Weiterentwicklung des IMZ-Implantatsystems und des CAMLOG® Implantatsystems. Er ist Autor verschiedener Veröffentlichungen und weltweit als Referent tätig.

1984 bis 1989 Studium der Zahnheilkunde an der Universität Heidelberg. Mehrjährige Tätigkeit in der Dentalindustrie, zuletzt Leiter R&D Implantologie. 2001 bis 2004 Weiterbildung zum Fachzahnarzt für Oralchirurgie, anschließend Oberarzt an der Interdisziplinären Poliklinik für Orale Chirurgie und Implantologie der Universität zu Köln (Direktor Prof. Dr. Dr. J. E. Zöller). Habilitation 2009. Seit August 2010 in der Praxis für Zahnheilkunde Dres. Bayer, Kistler, Elbertzhagen und Kollegen, Landsberg am Lech, zudem weiterhin Lehr- und Forschungstätigkeit an der Universität zu Köln.

Klaus Neuhaus ist Zahnarzt in eigener Praxis und Pianist. Er hat ein Forschungsdeputat an der Klinik für Zahnerhaltung der ZMK Bern und ist Konsiliarius an der Universitätsklinik für Dermatologie des Inselspitals Bern. Als Mitglied des schweizweiten Netzwerks für Epidermolysis bullosa nimmt sich Prof. Neuhaus insbesondere der Behandlung von Patienten mit speziellen Bedürfnissen und seltenen Erkrankungen an. Er ist im Vorstand verschiedener Fachgesellschaften aktiv und hat auf dem Gebiet der Zahnerhaltung vielfach publiziert und referiert.

Myron Nevins, DDS, is an associate clinical professor of periodontology at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine and a clinical professor of periodontics at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry and Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry. He is a past president of the American Academy of Periodontology and a former director and chairman of the American Board of Periodontology. He was also the coeditor-in-chief of The International Journal of Periodontics & Restorative Dentistry. Dr Nevins maintains a private practice limited to periodontics and implantology in Swampscott, Massachusetts, and is the founder and president of Perio Imp Research, Inc.

Michael G. Newman, DDS, is editor-in-chief of the American Dental Association/Elsevier PracticeUpdate Clinical Dentistry Channel. He is a professor emeritus at the UCLA School of Dentistry, a past president of the American Academy of Periodontology, and a diplomate, American Board of Periodontology. Dr Newman is coeditor of Newman and Carranza’s Clinical Periodontology, 13th Edition (Elsevier, 2019), Newman and Carranza’s Clinical Periodontology for the Dental Hygienist (2020), and Essentials of Newman and Carranza’s Clinical Periodontology (2021). He is founding editor emeritus of The Journal of Evidence-Based Dental Practice.
